The Protomen

So, monday night was amazing. It began with a drive to LA to meet a few friends from Northridge. Then we went to the venue of the concert, CIA. We wanted to get there early because there were no pre-sale tickets, but we ended up getting there maybe two hours before anybody else even showed up. So, we walked over to a Denny's across the street to kill some time. After that, we went back to the concert to wait in line to get in, which ended up taking another two hours. So by this time it was about 9:30 pm and everybody there was pumped up and ready to go.
Now, I have to attempt to describe CIA...I guess we can call it a freak-crazy-awesome-carnival-fun house type of place. Random statues, insane colors all over the walls, old black and white music videos playing on repeat in some places, and a room full of random crazy stuff you might find in The Crazy Cat Lady's basement.
So, we got in there and moved right to the front row. The show consisted of three bands: The Bossfights, The Megas, and The Protomen. The show was based on video game related bands. The Bossfights would be described as Nerd-core Hip-hop Rock and they played a few songs, they were pretty good but it was definitely a young band still looking for their groove. Their guitarist/bass player was pretty awesome though and before the band went on he played a few of his guitar solo songs which were pretty good. Next came the Megas, who play strictly Megaman related songs all based off the games. They rocked pretty hard and were pretty clever between songs. The only issue they had was that the vocals were hard to hear over the rest of the music, otherwise they were great.
So, by now it was 11:00 and it was starting to feel like it in the feet and back as we had to stand the entire time. Then, The Protomen started the show, after making everybody wait as they setup for fifteen minutes, if not longer. When they began, it was clear that basically everybody there was there for them. It went from a people standing around, some cheering, and a some clapping, to everybody pushing up to the front and fighting for position. The Protomen are decribed as a Rock/Opera band and for this show they were playing Act I. By the time they reached the fourth song, moshing began and I probably had twenty different people's sweat on me, but that didn't matter because it was just such an amazing show. I wish I could go to the show Tuesday night since they will be playing Act II, but alas I have some other things to take care of, so I have to miss out on the epicness. Overall, crazy awesome night and a fun hour drive back on open freeways and crashing in bed as my legs felt like collapsing.

SWED

First of all, let me thank anyone who looked at this blog. Hopefully, this goes well and I can get a new hobby out of it.

Well, have been thinking about doing this for a while now. It seemed like an interesting idea when I first heard about blogging. I do not know what I plan to do with this, or if anybody will even read it, but I think that isn't what is important. What is important is that we as people, have a means to say anything that comes to mind at any time. I'll keep it short with this one, since I don't have anything of real content for now.
